GAMFT-Approved CE Application Process

GAMFT approves programs that offer continuing education relevant to practice, theory or research in the field of couple and/or family therapy and are taught by qualified professionals. If you’re hosting a workshop, seminar, or conference, we welcome your application to approve your continuing education as core or ethics approved hours for Georgia MFTs. GAMFT does not approve related hours.

Timing and Deadlines

  • All applications and requests should be submitted at least six (6) weeks prior to the continuing education program in order to allow for processing.

  • A late fee will be required for processing of applications or requests submitted less than six (6) weeks prior to the date of the offering.

  • Applications or requests submitted less than two (2) weeks prior to the presentation will not be processed.

  • Retroactive approval is not granted.

  • Upon approval, an invoice will be emailed via PayPal for the processing fee and any applicable late fee.

  • Only after payment has been received by GAMFT will an approval/certificate number be issued and an approval letter provided.

  • All approvals (synchronous and asynchronous) are granted for one (1) year. 

  • Please note that the above deadlines apply to both original applications and requests for additional presentations of a previously approved workshop or series

Investment and Processing Fees

  • $100.00 per workshop if a fee is charged for attendance.

  • $50.00 per workshop if a fee is not charged for attendance.

  • $75.00 per workshop if a fee is not charged for attendance but a fee is charged for CE credits.

  • For a series of workshops (i.e., Part 1, Part 2, etc.), each part of the series will be treated as a separate program and the above fees applied accordingly.

  • Add an additional $25.00 for applications that include both synchronous and asynchronous presentations of the same workshop.

  • Add an additional $25.00 for each additional presentation of the same workshop within one year of the application date.

  • Add an additional $25.00 late fee for applications submitted less than six (6) weeks prior to the presentation.

Event Promotion

  • Approved programs will be listed in GAMFT’s Continuing Education Calendar at no additional cost.

  • Website or eNewsletter advertisements may be purchased. Contact us for advertising rates.
